Olivia becomes aggressive. Ol’ Gramps is in for it now.
Screw John, this guy needs to go down.
John’ll be fine… maybe… :[
Olivia, come to the darkside. We have cookies.
Ironic coming from the one who told me that the cliffhanger-per-page method of the webcomics medium was dumb, and that I should only worry about how it reads in the archives.
I’m not worried about cliffhangers, it’s just the entire setup bores me to death. You’re doing the right thing, it’s incredulously generic, which is ok by itself.
This is actually a point I’m trying to drive home in the anime community. If something is good, generic gimmicks and reliance on shock value don’t matter, cliffhangers amongst them. It’s all about a crisp clean execution or a finely constructed story or characters with a strong history, foundation, motivation. These are the things that make a work eternal and these are all points I feel are lacking on SS.
I don’t really expect to see this, but it is why I think it’s boring. Again, I think you’re doing the right thing.
But how much of that is recent fault of mine? I think we both agree that the beginning of the series lacked the proper writing and setup for paying off throughout the story. I also think we’d both agree this is the best chapter yet.
Goddamn, Dix. It literally took me 5 seconds to catch up on the over 50 pages I’ve missed. That’s not good.
