Apparently Charlie isn’t just blowing off steam. He’s actually very uncomfortable with what happened.
Colors flatted by Jaydot Sloane.
YEAH! I LOVE CHARLIE! WHOO!
Do you think if I grew out a goatee and went to cons, people would recognize me as Charlie?
Only one way to find out.
Looking back, it was ambiguous in Charlie’s case whether or not he viewed himself as having a problem. John, Eric, Ashley all recognized their problems and tried to overcome them in varying degrees, but was Charlie ever troubled by his anger at his mom? Carl made the judgment he had a problem, and Olivia went in to do her duty and solve it, bringing John into help her. It makes sense that he would be upset at having something about him altered that he did not necessarily want to change, making him the perfect person to challenge the idea of fighting monsters in soul worlds.
I’m really loving these updates; it’s adding another layer of complexity to the story. My big question is what this means for the rest of the final movement. No matter the outcome, I don’t think it’s end of story just yet.
That is so true. Took the words right out of my mouth. For Angel, Chris, and John, they recognized the problem and tried their hardest to get over them. So through this, they were able to reach a goal that they have given up on reaching. However, Charlie didn’t think it was a problem. He just thought he was being a grown up; when those emotions changed, he did not see a problem with that. But when he realized they were changed outside of his control, it bothered him. So he wasn’t the one who changed, just some random girl who went into my head who did it?
I am LOVING THIS!!!
^ You have a really good point. The chemistry between the characters becomes extremely interesting with this.
this is getting way too real for me
It’s called tough love, Charlie.
And Charlie suddenly went from douchebag to favorite character in one page.
“But listen, you never actually said, “no”, so it’s okay.”
“No. Dude, no. We were not aware.”
“No. John. What you did is brainwashing. You brainwashed us. HONK HONK!”
